How Will The Economic Collapse Change Your Day-To-Day Life? (Part 2 of 2)

financial collapse

Today we will be concluding our 2 part series on how the economic collapse will affect your daily life. Please click HERE for Part 1. Yesterday we discussed how the collapse isn’t some scenario that we need to be planning for, but that in reality the collapse is already upon us and is gradually changing this country for the worse every day. Today we will go over how the collapse has already, (and will continue to) divide the American people, how the collapse will continue to bring about more and more violence and crime and how the economic collapse truly will be a turning point in American history.

The collapse will further divide the country

This country has a bad habit of arguing far too much about things that are pointless. Every time there is another election, mass shooting, big sporting event …heck even a controversial TV show, the country divides into 2 main camps and begins hurling misinformed insults at each other, convinced that their side is right. I’m all for free speech and feel everyone is entitled to their opinion. However, 99% of the time these people have no real idea what they’re talking about, have done no factual research to support their position but yet will defend their opinion feverishly, to the point of ending friendships or in some cases even committing crimes.

The economic collapse is no different. Everyone has someone they can point the finger at. Republicans, Democrats, successful people, poor people, other countries, immigrants. Yes everyone seems to have a pretty clear idea as to why it’s someone else’s fault we’re in this mess. The truth of the matter is that it’s all of our faults. We all let this happen, we all contributed to it and none of us have an answer to fix it because…SURPRISE …there is no fixing it. Unfortunately, that’s not a very popular opinion. No one wants to think that they have any responsibility for the mess we’re in and no one wants to think that we really are going to have to lie in the bed we made.

Moving forward this division of classes or groups will only get worse. Since there really is no painless resolution to this problem, people are going to fight tooth and nail until the very end, and even then they’ll still blame someone else.

Is there anything we can do about this?

There is very little we can do about the division of people and groups in America even in good times, let alone bad. All you can really do is remove yourself from these debates. We all know that each side is misinformed. If you have the opportunity to talk 1 on 1 with someone about this, there’s no harm in trying to enlighten them to the truth, but in reality, most people aren’t ready for it. The best thing you can do is to stay away from these debates as much as possible because they have a habit of infecting anyone that gets too close to them.

The collapse will cause more crime and violence

Every major disaster in history has brought about violence and crime. It’s inevitable. I truly believe that a small percentage of people in this country are truly bad or evil people. Sorry if that offends anyone but I’m adamant about this. There are people out there that simply have no ability to see anything outside of their own bubble and they will do whatever they think is necessary to make life easier for themselves and some truly do gain satisfaction from actively harming others. On top of that, I think there’s an even larger portion of society that may not be inherently “bad” but simply need the opportunity to make bad decisions or will follow others that make bad decisions simply because they need someone or something to provide them structure in a time of chaos, regardless how moral or ethical that structure is.

In a disaster situation often times you are living in a temporary, isolated world where the idea of normal or acceptable behavior becomes blurry. Violence becomes a means to an end much more quickly. Crime is seen as “doing what we have to do”. On top of that we still have a small portion of society who only lives by societal rules because there are systems in place that force them to. In a disaster situation, these systems can be strained or even disappear, giving many a free pass to indulge in criminal behavior.

Although the collapse is not a single, isolated event, the collapse has and will continue to bring about pockets of “events” all over the country. We saw just last week people flocking to supermarkets, stealing hundreds of dollars of groceries during the EBT outage, taking advantage of a system malfunction simply because they could. This was YOUR MONEY these people stole. There are also reports all over the country of funding for police and first responders being slashed. Entire cities have gone bankrupt, leaving its citizens to fend for themselves or pushing them off onto other cities that cant afford to take care of them. These types of incidents will continue to happen and will only get more severe as the collapse enters its most destructive phases.

So what can we do to protect ourselves?

First and foremost, it’s important to remember something. We are preppers. We are self-reliant. Modern systems of security like the police are a convenience of modern society. As preppers, we do not rely on outside systems of support. We use them when they are there, but we are not reliant on them. It really is possible for a society to thrive without having an organized law enforcement presence. However the only way that can work is if each citizen is responsible for his or her own security and the security of their family. This means you have to defend your home while you are away from it. It means you need to learn how to defend yourself and your family with whatever means necessary. It means we simply need to be awake to the fact that we might not always have someone in a blue uniform carrying a gun watching our back. Depending how bad the collapse gets, it will be up to you to be your own police force.

The collapse will be a turning point in American history

As I mentioned at the very beginning of part 1 of this article, ready4itall doesn’t usually go very far into the “Hollywood” types of disasters like Pandemics, EMPs and all the other highly unlikely disaster scenarios that other sites seem to thrive on. We cover practical prepping; things you can do today to make your life better today and tomorrow no matter what happens.

With that being said, I put the economic collapse in a different category. The reason is because the economic collapse isn’t a “this may happen someday” type of disaster. It’s not an event that you need to plan for. The economic collapse is here, we’re living in it right now. You can’t even pinpoint a time when it started because it has been growing for over a hundred years. It’s very simple. We (as a society) put far too much of an expectation for someone else (usually the government) to take care of things we should be taking care of ourselves. Our entire economy is built around making life easier and outsourcing the responsibility for practically every aspect of our lives. It’s no surprise that as a whole we decided that we “needed” these conveniences, that we “needed” government to be so involved in every aspect of our lives or that we “needed” to impose our ideals on other people at the expense of self-responsibility. The fact is though; we’re paying for those conveniences and entitlements now and will continue to pay for them (with interest) in the future.

If the collapse does one good thing for this country it is that it will be a turning point. We have been balancing on the edge of freedom and forced compliance for a hundred years. The collapse will simply be the stopping point and will force the country to make a decision. We are at the preverbal fork in the road. We can’t continue going on the way we are. It’s mathematically impossible. We cannot afford to devalue our currency farther without destroying the lives of millions of people, we can’t afford to outsource even more innovation out of this country (since we’ve sold most of it already to the highest bidder) and we’re getting to the point where we physically can’t add even more responsibility to the government than they already have because there’s no money to pay for it!

A fork in the road…

The country is going to go one of two ways. On one hand, we could take the path of self-destruction. This is the path of hyperinflation, currency devaluation, socialism, forced altruism, police state, global intervention, global governments, the destruction of privacy and self-expression, continued political corruption and the complete dissolution of patriotism and the ideals this country was founded on.

Or…

We could start regaining everything that was amazing about this country. We stop intervening in the affairs of outside countries, we bring our troops home, we stop spending money on things that have no benefit to this country whatsoever, we stop being the preverbal safety net for the entire world and we begin to become more self-reliant as a nation. We start rewarding innovation and giving it a chance to grow. We reclaim the title of the most respected country on the face of this planet.

In short….WE REMEMBER THE MEANING OF FREEDOM.

I hope you will join me in spreading our message of self-reliance to anyone that will listen. It is up to us to lead this country down the right road since most people are blissfully unaware there is even a problem. It is up to us to prepare, adapt, and overcome the challenges that the collapse will bring to our everyday lives. It is up to us to save this country from itself, and I think we can all agree that it’s worth the fight.

yes, we should be more self reliant, BUT I think you are missing the point that WE didn’t put us here. The Fed Res, Rothchild’s and Rockerfellers PUT us here! They have taken away our freedoms, many men and women have died for our liberties and freedoms, just like when we separated from Britian. Well Britiain didn’t like that, they want their piece of our pie still back when we had the TEA Party in Boston, and fighting Minutemen in Mass. Figthing and burning the GASPEE. Well Britain still want Us to be slaves to them! And now they want to control the whole world! NWO remember GHW Bush in 1990! Here is the history to back up my claim!
